Hello Everyone!
I apologize for being so late in posting a new blog. It has been quite a whirlwind. I (Shelley) am at Wheaton College in Chicago for a conference. It is beautiful here with a nice breeze and good temps. The conference is just getting started so I will have more to tell about that later.
We had a wonderful time with the Monroe, Michigan team of 44 youth/adults who visited and worked along beside the national leaders in Costa Rica from July 2-9. I will wait to tell you more until I have the ability to post photos - probably next weekend.
The kids and I arrived in Chicago on Wednesday late evening and then drove to Iowa on Thursday. I enjoyed a day with family before heading back to Chicago in time for the international conference on assisting children worldwide with their needs... poverty, education, health, etc...
So that's all for now as the conference is about to start once again and I am already a minute late! (This is not Latin America so it does matter!)
Gotta go. More later!
Shelley
