Trevecca Team to Nicaragua in May
A 14-member team from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN arrived ready to work in May. The endured hard days of travel by bus, boat and bus again (14 hours in all) to reach the small town of El Rama in the Southeast District of Nicaragua.
After three days of activities, more than 110 people had accepted the Lord. The DS announced,
“Today, we saw a church be born!”
The work continues there for the local leaders who are discipling those who made decisions for Christ during the Maximum Mission events.
Home Assignment Begins
On May 23rd, the Webb family said a sad goodbye to Costa Rica and climbed aboard a plane bound for Chicago by way of Miami. It has been a busy time for the Webbs as they have already put more than 7000 miles on the minivan making stops in Iowa, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Kansas and most recently, California.
The Webbs are currently in Carlsbad, CA spending time with the Las Flores church congregation who brought teams to the Costa Rica for the last two years.
Thanks to all who have let us stay in your homes as we have travelled. We are looking forward to future trips to Oklahoma, Illinois, Ohio, West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Delaware.
The Webbs will return to Costa Rica at the end of August.
General Assembly in Orlando, Florida
In June, the General Assembly for the Church of the Nazarene was held in hot Orlando, Florida.
David spoke briefly at the Nazarene Missions International Convention sharing what God has been doing on the MAC South field. Good job, David!
New Deputation Site Released
There is a new way to be linked with the Webbs deputation site to read current news, see the latest photos and to give to the Webb deputation account or to special projects. This will be very convenient for those who like to use a credit card. Please know the site is secure and credit can be given to your local church.
See the site at web.nazarene.org/goto/davidwebb.
Thanks for your prayers and support.
You are a blessing!
The Webb Family David, Shelley, Joshua and Kayley
