We have had a full week of activities once again with an emphasis on Children’s Programs which in turn will lead to two new church plants in Guatemala City. On Monday and Tuesday we (meaning the Youth in Mission team with their 5 girls, along with Scott and Emily Armstrong) were in the first community and we put on four shows for the children. Usually we had around 30 children but one day an entire local school came with their over 60 students and teachers.
The Webb family clowns! On Thursday we presented the VBS inside a local school. This school has more than 500 students so it was a huge crowd. We maxed out the speakers on the sound system and sang and spoke as loud as we could. It was a great day of ministry with many children anticipating our return in a couple weeks when we’ll have more than 60 volunteers to help lead games and shows for the school. The new church is only a few blocks from this school, so it’s great opportunity. We were glad for the assistance of the “mother church” that brought some workers for the puppet stand that day.
Before the show at the large school, notice Kayley in the foreground...We’re excited for the next week as we’ll be traveling to the south part of Mexico for 3 days to assist Scott with some training in that area. This works out great since Joshua and Kayley are at camp this week. We’ll pick them up Thursday night just in time to leave early Friday morning for El Salvador for two days to meet up with the Central KC team who is ministering there for two weeks. It will so fun to see some familiar faces in their team of 34 as this is the church we attended in Kansas City. Also, it’s time for our family to renew the visas so we can remain in Guatemala and this trip should take care of that little errand until September.

As you can tell, it’s been a bit crazy here, but in a good way. Pray for us this week as we travel with 8 people in a Suburban, along with all our stuff for 6 hours. Should be interesting! And pray for Joshua and Kayley at camp. It’s important they remain safe and well as we’ll be out of the country to assist them. (Yes, Grandmas, we have a back up plan!)
God bless this week! Until next time…
