Hello Everyone,
It’s hard to know where to start this month. With so many activities and groups coming in
and out, it has been crazy busy, but fun all at the same time.
Shelley’s main focus has been CALL (Spanish language
school). The groups from PLNU and NNU
have kept her busy for weeks. You can
read all about that on the SENDAS website at this link: http://www.seminarionazareno.net/en/news

CALL also has volunteer couples studying this month. Jim and Linda Dortch are studying for one
month before they spend a month in Dominican Republic in the fall helping
with Genesis (more info below about Genesis).
And Luke and Liz Gentry continue their studies and work at SENDAS. Their
year long commitment will end in September, and we will all be sad to see them
go back to the USA then.

World Cup play has begun and it has been an incredibly
exciting time to live in Costa Rica.
Tomorrow Costa Rica will continue to play when they face Greece. Life stops here for the games and when Sele (the CR National Team)
wins, the city goes crazy. And of
course, the USA plays again on Tuesday, so we are hoping for a win there as
well.

Joshua and Kayley are both enjoying their summers. First of all, we are all pleased just to be all-together once again as a family of four. But beyond that, there are many fun activities to be a part of this summer. Joshua is helping to lead teams for Work and Witness, and Kayley has helped out as well. They have both loved their time at Poas (La Finca) where the gymnasium/sanctuary is under construction with hopes of completing it by the end of the year.

Plus, Joshua went on a two day trip to Panama
to help Stephen Sickel as he plans future W&W projects there.
Last week we enjoyed hearing our friend (and Shelley’s
office assistant) preach at the El Alto Church. She will be participating in
Genesis, a training/sending program for the Mesoamerica Region for volunteer
missionaries. You can read more about
the program here: http://www.mesoamericagenesis.com/.
Although we are sad to see her leave
Costa Rica, we are thrilled with her decision to serve as a volunteer
missionary for two years.
If you would
like to help Helen as she raises funds for her two year assignment, please
visit this website: http://web.nazarene.org/site/TR?pg=fund&fr_id=1090&pxfid=5930
where you can learn more about Helen and support her too.
David has kept very busy as well with trips to the
Indigenous area, various churches in the city and to the North district,
specificially to San Carlos. He is
preparing for a team from Marysville, WA who will arrive at the end of July for
a week stay, serving in El Molino and surrounding communities. We will be working on adding a room to a
community center, helping in a local school and showing the Jesus Film at
night. We are really looking forward to
that trip.
Finally, we had a great time with David’s brother Charles
and his wife Deb. They visited Costa
Rica on a business trip and stayed a few extra days with us. We visited La Fortuna, the Arenal Volcano and
the Waterfalls nearby. It’s always good
to take a break, especially when you can spend it with family.

The month of July and August will be filled with great ministry opportunities. We look forward to teams coming to work, visiting churches and church plants, helping students as they learn Spanish, and a special Community Health training we will attend the first week of August.
Already we are thinking about next summer when we visit churches in the USA. Soon we will be filling our calendar for June and July 2014. If you are interested in having us speak at your church, just email Shelley at swebb@mesoamericaregion.org. We would love to see you.
Blessing to you all,
THE WEBBS
